After visiting most of the Salute gaming tables in part I and part II, I have selected a few photos of display models from various manufacturers. Unfortunately the lighting in the hall was very poor, so only a few pictures survived the selection process.
One of my major highlights was, of course, all non-Napoleonic (sorry guys, not my period) news from the Perry twins. There’ll be a set of French for the HYW! I hope Alan lets me paint some for the webshop 🙂
We met the twins the night before Salute for a few beers and Michael already informed me about some upcoming releases for WotR, but I’m not sure if I’m supposed to tell anyone. It’s going to be some cool stuff! (Well, who’d thought that… 😀 )
There’ll also be two new plastic sets for Sudan. Frank explained there’s a difference in the uniforms, but to me it looks all the same 🙂 Anyway, plastics for Sudan could mean I’ll go and revisit my Highlander troops and provide some support for them.
Terry from Renedra gave us many insights of the manufacturing process of plastic models. Very interesting, I could listen to his stories for hours. This is the original mould for the upcoming Frostgrave plastics from North Star. After Terry told us the price of the finished mould, we quickly passed it back to him 😀
