German Pak 40

The Panzerabwehrkanone 40, a 75mm anti-tank gun, developed by Rheinmetall between 1939 and 1940, was produced more than 23.000 times and one of the most common anti-tank guns of the German Wehrmacht. It was a bit more than 6 meters long and fired (theoretically) 15 shots per minute.

The model is from Warlord Games and comes with a crew of 3 men, which is a bit odd, because you’ll need a crew of 4 for a game of Bolt Action and in reality the Pak was operated by 5 men.

The cast is OK, with a bit of flash. The shield does not really fit, even after bending and cutting. There are no instructions with the kit, bit it’s not overly complicated. The models quality and poses are also OK, 2 of 3 heads however, are horrible. Maybe the crew is supposed to be clones of Edvard Munch’s scream model? 😀

  1. You say yours only came with 3 crew? I recently grabbed a pak 40 from Warlord and it has a crew of 4. Mayhaps you had a misplack? I recommend sending an email at info@warlordgames.com and ask them to send you your missing parts, it’s worked for me in the past.

    • Cheers Daniel! Mine (part of the Heer starter pack) actually came with 4 crew, but the website says 3. Good to know the regular pack has enough crew for BA 🙂
