Apocalypse

In case you missed it, yesterday was the international tabletop day. By pure coincidence, we organized another Apocalypse game on the same day. This time the scenario was designed with a cross shaped battlefield. In it’s center, the Imperial Guard defended a fortification around a vox relay, supported by Grey Knights. They were under siege by Death Guard, Black Legion, Orcs and Necrons, each starting from a side of the cross. A seventh challenger, the Eldar, used warp portals to cause mayhem everywhere 🙂

Each force was 2500 points strong, with a only one Apocalypse unit allowed. The game itself took us roughly 16 hours, from 11 AM to 3 AM. The cross design of the battlefield was a nice change from the usual face to face battles. I enjoyed it enormously, even though my Necrons spent a lot of time in cover until the mid/end game. In the end, the Eldar won way ahead of everyone else. My Necrons came third, which is more than I expected throughout the game.
